Theresa Bielawski captured this intimate moment between a mama Black-crowned Night Heron and her chicks. The photo was taken at a rookery near Davis, California. Theresa used a high-power telephoto lens to get the image, "Which is why I was able to get a good shot without distrubing the birds," she says. Nice work, Theresa!
