Jennie Boggan of Fair Oaks, California, is our spotlighted photographer for the month of August, 2011. She took this charming photo of a daddy bluebird and his young.

Jennie has been feeding bluebirds in her backyard for two years now, ever since she was visited by a male bluebird who clung to her screen door peering in at her. She was so delighted by the visit that she went out and purchased meal worms--a favorite bluebird snack. Soon she had a pair of bluebirds raising their young in her yard.
