Job Description for Volunteers
Our Mission
- To increase adult visibility and parent participation
- To decrease student cut rate at lunch
- To deter trespassers from entering the building during lunch hour

- Enjoys working with students and staff
Expectations
- Become familiar with school building and grounds
- Become familiar with school staff (especially administration, counselors, specific teachers, and security personnel)
- Become familiar with student expectations (specifically those relating to student behavior in the hallways and yard during lunchtime). Participate in an orientation on how to appropriately assist in enforcing student expectations
- Complete a training in conflict management to handle minor conflicts
- Accompany staff on supervision duty during first two weeks of training to learn about position duties
- Attend weekly one-hour supervision sessions with staff to solve problems and receive support
- Work 4 to 10 hours per week during the school year. One of these hours will be a mandatory supervision meeting, while the other hours can be scheduled with some flexibility
