His pedigree is a wonderful balance of the athleticism and the beauty in the Classical Spanish Arabian. For his breeders, Dave and Molly Stanley (who have owned more than five hundred Spanish Arabians in Spain and the USA since 1976), CZANTIAGO+// fulfills the hope and promise of his pedigree.
His physical balance and symmetry are beautiful from any angle, when he is in action or standing still. You can see behind CZANTIAGO+//’s bold and fearless gaze an extraordinary and ‘simpatico’ equine mind. An “exceptional young stallion” (Judge Patrick Bostwick’s remark), and a true Arabian Sport Horse.
CZANTIAGO+//'s granddam is the beloved *IBERIA. This photo of *IBERIA (affectionately known as Boo) was taken in Spain when she was a mere 18 months old. Boo is still showing occasionally with the Yeatman children (mainly Cameron and Jillian) of Gold Hill Arabians. Her gentle spirit, especially with children, has made her a cherished friend of all who know her, including Jaden (son of Webmaster Ray Fox), who had his first unforgettable horse ride atop Boo with equestrian photographer Tamara Torti holding the reigns.
CZANTIAGO+//’s dam, PASCION S, was the Champion Sport Horse Mare at the founding Pacific Coast Arabian Sport Horse Classic Show in 1996. PASCION S was also Spanish Arabian Futurity winner at 1, 2 and 3.
CZANTIAGO+//’s granddam *IBERIA has had a career as a Hunter, both in the hunt field where she earned her Certificate as a Recognized Field Hunter, and in the show ring as Canadian National Champion Arabian Working Hunter (First in all three rounds).
As to Spanish Arabian pedigree, the classic cross of the SEANDERICH line (CONGO, JACIO, TABAL, MARMOL, GEBEL TARIK) with the URSUS line (MALVITO, ZURICH, MAQUILLO, GANDHY, *ESPERANTO), the two most influential founding male lines in Spain, has proven best time and time again. Now we are several generations removed from these foundation stallions and we can utilize their inheritance through the best proven decedents. CZANTIAGO+// carries all the best of those best lines, and has proven he can produce them again.
