Sport Horse National Show
September 19 - 23, 2012, Boise, Idaho
CZANTIAGO+// has ended his first ridden show season with awards at every show, and 'Approved' ratings from two Warmblood breeds as an outcross stallion.
The US National Arabian Sport Horse Finals (SHN), held September 19 - 23, 2012, Idaho Horse Center, Nampa (Boise) Idaho, was well attended with many new faces and good 'new' horses. Molly and Lisa attended and five Stanley Ranch 'newbies' were at their first National Show to work under saddle, hunters, dressage and driving. Every horse had at least one Top 10, and most had multiple awards. We are mighty proud of the babies. Below is the new show string and their awards:

The entire show was wonderful with beautiful weather, and the 'Spirit of Sport Horse' prevailed. We were particularly tickled to see one family who is filling the Jumper Division! Sherry Gardner from Boise has nine children, four of whom are presently riding in the Jumper classes alongside their mother!
And Kristen Hardin, California Jumper Trainer, currently has a six- and an eight-year-old mounted up and going, one on a pony Kristen bred for the job.
Dressage people reported either wonderful or terrible rides. As we all know, National Shows make their own luck…
It was fun to ride in the carriage with Michelle behind the mighty little BDAZZL. BDAZZL showed driving classes and also was US Top 10 in Sport Horse under Saddle, Open. BDAZZL was US Top 10 in the 2 Year old Futurity in 2006.
As you see, our 'Flagship stallion' CZANTIAGO+// showed his strength and versatility by having top awards in Green Working Hunter, Hunter Hack, and Training Level Dressage.
We were pleased to see CAYENNNE blossom under Rita Mason's good care, with a US Top 10 under Saddle as well as her US Top 10's for Training and First Level Dressage.
And our special girl XENYA and Crystal Alatalo have changed their whole aspect and are building the muscle and frame for the job of Dressage. We were so tickled to see them improve every ride and end with a US Top 10.
Pacific Coast Arabian Sport Horse Classic and AHA Region III Sport Horse CH Show
June 28 - July 12, 2012, Sacramento, California
Stanley Ranch had five horses competing at the Pacific Coast Arabian Sport Horse Classic and AHA Region III Sport Horse CH Show, held June 28 - July 1. CZANTIAGO+//, CAYENNNE, BDAZZL, XENYA and CLEOPATTRAA were shown by trainer Michelle Mahoney and daughter Lisa Stapleton; CAYENNNE was ridden by Rita Mason and Maddie Winters; and XENYA was shown by Crystal Alatalo.
Classes shown: Green Working Hunter, Hunter Hack, Sport Horse under Saddle, Dressage, Driving.
It was a grand show on all fronts. The weather was hot but good, and the horses all moved up a notch in their showing.
We brought home a tableful of awards: Eighteen Top Fives, and eleven Regional Championships and Reserve Regional Championships.
This year the Pacific Coast Arabian Sport Horse Classic was scheduled as a pre-show for the Region III Sport Horse Championships. There was general approval for this idea and a vote to continue. Entries were up for both shows.
